Madame Alexander and Turner Classic Movies honor MGM by celebrating the 75th anniversary of the release of, “Gone With The Wind” by introducing the lovely 21” Cissy dressed as Scarlett O’Hara in her Prayer Dress. She is possibly the most beautiful Scarlett ever created by Alexander with wavy center parted shoulder length brunette hair pulled up on the sides and held with red bows. Her lovely green eyes and expressive face painting make Scarlett look like she stepped from the silver screen in her frothy confection of a gown consisting of white cotton batiste featuring a fitted bodice and short puffed sleeves trimmed in tiered ruffles edged in lace, and a sweeping full skirt with even more tiers of lace trimmed ruffles. Her high neckline and fitted bodice also feature rows of gathered lace, nail head buttons of white down the front and a red velvet belt with a white buckle. Underneath she wears a crinoline of cotton lace trimmed boning with a grosgrain waist, a white lace trimmed organdy petticoat, and white lace trimmed cotton batiste pantaloons. Thigh high glistenette stockings and white flock ankle boots complete her ensemble. For accessories, she wears a black and white cameo at her throat, pearl tear drop ear bobs, and in her hand she carries a bouquet of flowers tied with a red satin ribbon. Scarlett is truly a picture of the Old South at it’s most beautiful. Limited Edition of 90. From Madame Alexander’s Gone With The Wind, Scarlett O’Hara, Hollywood, Movies, and Limited Edition, and Fashion, History of Fashion, Couture, and Cissy collections.
