Since its release in 1959 Walt Disney’s classic movie, Sleeping Beauty, has become a favorite of little girls everywhere. With her long wavy golden hair, beautiful blue eyes, and designated makeup, she became the third Disney Princess to make her debut. This year 10” Cissette, dressed as Sleeping Beauty makes her appearance in a romantically designed gown with a fitted bodice of fuchsia satin under a layer of gold mesh sprinkled with gold accents. Her bodice is designed with a sweetheart neckline, an attached white organdy portrait collar, and gold laces up the back. Light pink satin encircles her waist following the curve of her neckline and attaching to a very full wide pleated bias cut skirt of light pink taffeta with a dimensional overlay of light pink, fuchsia and gold. Underneath she wears nude pantyhose and white satin pumps with clear heels. Light pink fingerless gloves, a gold necklace with molded clasp, and matching gold crown complete the very lovely Sleeping Beauty, making her a vision of stardust and the magic of romance just as Tchaikovsky intended in his “Sleeping Beauty Ballet”, on which Walt Disney not only based his classic film, but used the music and had lyrics written for. From Madame Alexander’s Disney, Princesses and Fairies, Storybook, Storyland, Fairy Tales, Hollywood and Movies, and 2013 collections.
