From the classic novel, Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott, the March family is “dolled” up for Meg’s wedding! Bridesmaid Jo, an 8” Wendy, is a brown eyed girl with long wavy taffy tan hair pulled up at the sides. She wears a Victorian style gown of dusty blue paisley print. Her fitted bodice has short puffed sleeves, a white Peter Pan collar, and is enhanced by blue floral trim and small bead “buttons” down the front. Her full sweeping skirt is made of three tiers of ruffles edged with white picot. A white organdy and tulle petticoat, white cotton pantaloons, white stockings, and white vinyl high button boots make her the proper young lady. She will carry a small woven basket of bright pink flowers as she walks down the aisle. Christopher Columbus! What a wonderful day!
