Thames & Kosmos TTKM-03 Solar Power + Gigantic Photovoltaic Science Lab

If your child likes to conduct science experiments, this Solar Power Photovoltaic lab is the perfect activity.

Each kit contains 265 pieces that will allow kids to build 22 different solar-powered models that demonstrate how solar cells generate electricity.

A 60-page fully-illustrated manual is included for additional guidance and support. Children will enjoy hours of entertainment building models such as a scooter, locomotive, fork-lift truck, road roller, cement mixer, etc.

The two special solar panels in the kit consist of three solar cells. When linked together in a series, they generate up to 3.0 volts of electricity in bright sunlight. This is the equivalent of two A batteries!

This kit teaches the basic concepts in solar energy such as photovoltaics and circuits, as well as problem solving and creative thinking.
